Just got an email that the dates for #PodCampNYC are changing. It is moving from February to April. #
It was rather close to the original dates to move it, so I am sure there was a significant reason for doing so. #
Got to the office early for a steering committee meeting. #
Set up the computer and realized the cord for the projector was too short in that conference room. #
Just fonished the steering committee meeting. It seemed to go well. Lots of feedback. #
This was our first steering committee meeting, so it was the first time people outside the project team saw our work #
They gave us good suggestions and direction for future work, all of which I will take back to the monthly project team meeting next week. #
@RobinYap Thank you for the link for the Northern Voice #NV2008 logos. I did not realize they were available. #

Lots of no answers. Not good. #
The fellow at jury duty who calls names and alerted us that 2 people are missing today just said something interesting. #
He said that as jurors, we are the ones who stand between civilization and anarchy. I like how his humor does illustrate the important role #
Phew, did not get called for that case. #
Doing some school work to prepare for my NYU Stern class tomorrow night. #
Time to open my computer again. The battery needed to be recharged, anyway. #
Wifi is again working in the jury room; at least for the time being. #

The FaceBook article on CBS’ 6o Minutes is beginning now. #
#Facebook’s #Zuckerberg on 60 Minutes disappointed me. I thought he would have exuded confidence, or at least a charming geekiness. #
I found him somewhat dull and boring. Good ideas, but not the best at communicating and / or selling them. #
Was it just me, or did #Zuckerberg’s eyes in the interview seem lifeless? #
or like a shark? #
Reporting for jury duty. #
At jury duty they told us how important our roles are in the justice system. #
Does not seem just the state pays jurors only 40 dollars a day. #

Waiting for the court officer. This liveblogging of jury duty makes this a really interactive and more democratic process. #
Lower Manhattan is sure beautiful from thr 11th floor of the NY State Supreme Court building. #
I am glad the courts allow us to use Internet and computers. I suppose that may change if we get into a courtroom. #
Walked down the stairs to the courtroom where they told us to report. Elevators seemed too closed in. Perhaps I did not want to be confined? #

Went into the courtroom and the last five of us did not fit. So, they sent us back. Great unknown strategy! #
So, if there are too many jurors sent to a courtroom, those who are last and do not fit go back into the larger pool. #
About to sit back down and power up the computer, when they told us another group will be selected for another case. Let’s not hear my name. #
They literally do shuffle the juror cards up front to then select the names from the 200 or so of us who are here. #
In a way, I wonder if the #juror cards are really unlike #Tarot cards? Different people want different things to show up. #

Somebody was not in the room when they called her, and then she came back in. Perhaps that is another strategy, since they sent another #

Just dismissed for lunch. We actually have until 2:00, since there will not be any cases before the next jury call at 2:00. Hurray! #

Did not know where to get lunch while at jury duty. I know is by Chinatown, but do not know any good Chinese food around here. #
Last two times I ate Chinese food in NY Chinatown, it did not agree with me. #

This area around the courthouses in lower Manhattan has always puzzled me. Perhaps that is a good thing. #

There was no traffic coming into Manhattan via the Lincoln Tunnel. Amazing for a Saturday night. Perhaps everybody is already here? #
Perhaps 8:30 on a Saturday night is still too early for the crowds to come in? #
Doing laundry. Then fold and iron. I wonder if I could do ironing consulting? #
Just finished starching and ironing a pile of shirts. Phew. #
Actually, I do not mind ironing, starching, and even folding shirts with a folding board. The challenge is often to find the time for it. #
I just noticed my email announcements and Twitter announcements are once again working with my upgraded WP! #
Going to the bookstore. Have been working inside all day. Has gotten cold out. Supposed to snow tonight. #

My FM #iPod plug got stuck in the car charger and broke. Blew the fuse. #
