Jeffrey’s Twitter Updates for 2008-12-05

  • @Rondette Welcome to the world of Twitter! #
  • What a day full of busy meetings. Phew! #
  • I have to drive to JFK to pick up a colleague’s son. Will be strange to go to the airport and not look forward to a trip myself. #
  • @zerhynn I like your holiday avatar. #
  • @be_b Have you started to look around yet? #
  • @Kylab Just saw your Tweet. Not my son (per se); my older dog. Both of them are now cancer survivors. #
  • @Kylab Very tough with pets when they are the only “children,” as they can only look sad when in pain; they can’t say what hurts. #
  • @Kylab So sorry about your daughter. How is she doing? #
  • @Kylab Last night I went to the Holiday Tree Lighting Event at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in NYC. Wonderful organization. #
  • Just read about OJ http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7767556.stm. The world may now be a slightly safer place. #
  • Poor (?) Boy George http://tinyurl.com/642bxx #
  • @arjunsingh Tell us why, Arjun; your url is to your Facebook page. #
  • At JFK Terminal 3. Feels like another world, or at least a different time and place. #

Jeffrey’s Twitter Updates for 2008-12-03

  • Taking a Project Management Managing Project Cooperation class all day today. #
  • We just took the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument. I did not find the experience valuable or the results useful. #
  • I think I am so qualitative I do not see how these sorts of generalizations can speak to individual experiences or situations. #
  • Does anybody know about training materials that link Project Management Institute #PMI guidelines with where they go in Microsoft Project? #

  • The Time Warner Center is nicely decorated for the holidays. #
  • Michael Storrings is signing A Very New York Christmas at Borders in Columbus Circle. #
  • @jfeo Not sure yet; the course will be online and I have not yet received the feedback regarding my syllabus proposal. Very condensed. #
  • Spencer had his stitches removed this morning and met the oncologist for the first time. Everything went well, and he is recovering nicely. #
  • @BlancheMaynard Still hope you are not reading this. #
  • @BlancheMaynard Why panicking? #
  • @kathyschrock If you were to speak, what would you say about it? #
  • @nealcross I suppose the marines are not interested in that part of the African coast?! #
  • @nelliemuller I think that title is right up there with “coach,” “advisor,” or “consultant.” #
  • @rdelorenzo I am catching up, too. Managing #Multimemberships is a challenge. I think I need to cut back on RSS feeds due to overload. #
  • Between meetings. #
  • Finally leaving the office. Tired. #

  • @BlancheMaynard Want to talk it out with us here in the Twitterverse? #
  • @betsyweber Deal. #
  • @chadarizona Thank you for the link. I am not familiar with #CSCW, the Computer Supported Cooperative Work conference. Did you present? #
  • @chadarizona I am looking to see what research, if any, has been done on or about Twitter. #
  • @BlancheMaynard Great. I hope you are not reading this now. #
  • Meeting a colleague for lunch; another instructional designer who works here I have never met. #
  • @BlancheMaynard hmmm, this is still suspect . . . #
  • Today is the final day for submissions to #QI2009 – The Fifth International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry (QI2009) http://www.icqi.org/ #
  • Anybody out there submit a proposal to attend #qi2009? #
  • Watching my students take their final exam for the Research Process and Methodology course. #
