@JeffreyKeefer Interest in a minority group’s culture without respect for the group isn’t innocent interest. It’s exotification.
@JeffreyKeefer And the aspects of American Indian cultures whites find interesting are often created or exaggerated by whites.
@JeffreyKeefer “sharing” implies consent, mutual respect, equal position. Colonization, genocide, and exotification don’t fit that model.
