Jeffrey’s Twitter Updates for 2011-05-13

  • My copy of the new edition of the Denzin and Lincoln SAGE Handbook of Qualitative Research http://amzn.to/jixAjI just arrived #phdchat #
  • Will continue to use #Mendeley for file accessibility and syncing non-pdfs acrosss networks. I also prefer the online community. #phdchat #
  • Doing enormous migration #Mendeley > #Papers2 I like Mendeley, but unmanageable duplicates and no sync to #Scrivener #phdchat #papersapp #
  • I wonder how I suddenly seem to have so many things listed as favorites in Twitter. Don't recall adding most of them. #
  • Getting warm in the apartment. Wish I could go for a walk, but still don't feel up to it. #
  • Home sick for another day today. The doctor said my bronchitis (and all the associated meds related to it) will knock me out. Spot on. #

New Avatar for 2011 (finally)

Better late than never, but I just changed my avatar for my online presence.

I seem to do this about every second year, so decided to use one of the pictures from my recent trip to the UK (for study at Lancaster University) and Ireland (for holiday). As I was selecting pictures, I realized the irony that this picture was taken about 500 feet away from the location where the last picture I used as my avatar for the past two years, was taken, namely at Glendalough.

So, while my hair is much shorter now, other things can remain the same.

Goodness, now comes the process of having to send the new avatar all over the place. Wish everyone would use Gravatar for this purpose!
