I Baked Bread
I do not like to cook, but I do love eating (and at times making) bread.

love it. One of my fondest memories of my phd journey so far was spending a week put up by my thesis supervisor and i learnt to bake bread. I like knowing i have learned a practical skill, and can produce something i could drop on my toe…something visible and real for all the hours in books and on my laptop. It works for me as a metaphor of my learning so far.
I really like that metaphor, Ailsa. Thank you for sharing it!
