Jeffrey’s Twitter Updates for 2010-09-19

  • No energy to mow the lawn today. Think I will just work on my lesson and slides for Monday's class. #
  • Replacing the brake pads and rotors is expensive. #
  • I had the pleasure of seeing an adult male and 2 baby female cardinals at my feeder this morning. Have never seen baby cardinals before. #
  • Odd; I thought my last Tweet went last night. Perhaps I was up all night unawares?! #
  • Where did this week go? Early morning car repair appointment tomorrow that promises to take hours. What fun. #

Jeffrey’s Twitter Updates for 2010-09-17

  • After what appeared to be tornado-force winds about 20 minutes ago, now there is an eerie stillness outside. The leaves, branches — silent. #
  • #1010Wins reports a tornado warning is in effect for Brooklyn until 6 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Wow. #
  • Made it home before the downpour. Looks like a hurricane out there in Manhattan right now. Thunder, lightning, and sideways sheets of rain. #
  • My cholesterol just went down. Hurray! #

A Visit to Zurich

I had the pleasure of visiting Zurich, Switzerland, for the first time this year, and have finally been able to upload my pictures of the day to Flickr. From Grossmunster (founded by Charlemagne) to Fraumunster (with the Chagall windows) to St Peter’s Church (with the huge clock) to the Landesmuseum (Swiss National Museum) to walking through the charming Old Town, Zurich is a treasure.

I hope to get back and again visit Barbara and Gary, who were most gracious and hospitable hosts during the afternoon and evening.
