Yes, this is a form of liveblogging, the sort that I do. Some people use specific applications, such as CoverItLive http://www.coveritlive.com, for liveblogging, but I find that having to rely on a network connection when things are often unpredictable at large events only invites trouble. 

As I believe liveblogging is a form of co-presenting, and it does take a lot of energy and concentration. 

For the picture? I went to the New Yorker for it (not the NY Times as he said). I get faster with practice, practice, practice!
