 Kings and Pawns

This can be used in a lot of contexts, from power and positionality within organizations to the image of th pawn wanting to be king, though he (she?) will never be more than a queen no matter how great the effort. I never thought about chess as being a game with possible feminist overtones.

And all from considering only one cartoon . . .

Oh I use the Chess analogy all the time in my leadership sessions because it is a game of strategy. Pawns, Knights, etc. all can translate into the various roles we perform at work. Next time you have a session with your colleagues, try bringing the chess analogy and see how many people can relate.
