@mctoonish @AlisonSeaman I have tried Twitter with my students on more than one occasion, and oddly get little interest or usage from them. [jeffreykeefer]

@literarychica Never meant much to me, but I do not do much as an alum with any unis where I studied. May change that with @LancasterUni [jeffreykeefer]

@Comprof1 You planning to attend? [jeffreykeefer]

Headed to an all-day workshop on nursing simulation education. Interested to see how they are used in teaching and learning. [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
Arrived late to the nursing sim workshop. Could not find Bellevue Hospital. When did it get a new facade? [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
Interesting jump start onto the simulations. The 3 of us who are not clinicians looked on with amazement at how people snapped into roles. [jeffreykeefer]

Vote for a date for #AdjunctChat by 5/6. What community of support do you want or need as an #adjunct? Please RT http://t.co/ipbHlJOeMw [jeffreykeefer]

I left the simulation workshop today as a discussion about a container for a safe space became very uncomfortable. [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
Alas, to raise issues of learner confidentiality and then not tolerate dissent is problematic if one then wants to focus on trust. [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
Having left the all-day simulation workshop as I was told to agree with the confidentiality statement raised 2 hours in or leave, I learned. [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
I learned that when we give class rules or expectations and are not readily prepared for dissent, then we set the stage for problems. [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
That is a good experiential lesson as I will now rethink how I raise these issues in my own classes. Painful learning, but valuable. [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
What is the point of asking people to be honest in a learning situation if our rules and processes will not tolerate dissent? [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
The irony is that others in the session seem to have agreed with the confidentiality, then it seems none should talk about this issue later! [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
How realistic is it to believe nobody will discuss the issue of the only person to leave a workshop due to not agreeing with the rules? [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
Is it realistic to think the course facilitators or grant representatives will not debrief this to avoid issues happening again? [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
Alas, confidentiality means things on various levels, and discussing but not tolerating dissent or considering implications is unfortunate. [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
Perhaps this may turn into a day of great learning after all – what to do, what not to do, and how to make sense of it on a personal level. [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
Interesting how learning occasions may sneak up on us unaware, with some of them coming through challenging processes. [jeffreykeefer]
twitter (feed #2)
No transformative experience to be sure, but rather insights into implications of things we say and do in learning that are often unexplored [jeffreykeefer]
