Jeffery, you bring up some good points. As a teacher, my concern is not solely in the output of the collective, but in the specific growth of the individual in the collective. Has the individual “consumed” pertinent information? Has the individual been able to digest the information and build from it? Can they contribute back to the collective? I see the collective as one tool of many that can be used for personal growth. As for output, you bring up a good point that the individual can be overlooked in a collective.
