Lots of Debriefing Ahead

As I am sitting on the plane ready to fly back to New York, after my residential at Lancaster University with time in Edinburgh, by Loch Ness, and Portree on the Isle of Skye (with a drive through the snow!), I am finally able to begin processing my trip. I have blogged less than I expected, as I wanted to spend my time experiencing things, rather than processing them. The blogging will come very soon . . . .

Best to grab the experiences while we can get them. Reflective practice, here I come.

  • Wondering why football (soccer) is not more popular in the US. #
  • Wonder why that guy playing for Bayern is wearing a mask? #
  • Eating in the pub at the Holiday Inn at Glasgow Airport watching football. Seems they are beginning to call it soccer in some locals. Pity. #
  • Just got to the Glasgow Airport. My flight leaves early in the morning. #
  • Drove through a blizzard in the Scottish Highlands. #
  • Driving on the way to Glasgow from Skye in rain and snow showers. The hotel estimated it as 6 hours. Yikes! #

Jeffrey’s Twitter Updates for 2010-03-28

  • Planning to drive to Portree on Skye tomorrow, by way of Loch Ness. I consider this ambitious Scotland. #
  • Enjoying my #Scotland excursion after my residential. Plan to have a long drive away from the snow that is predicted for tomorrow #
  • Having a drink inside Greyfriars Bobby's. Hey, I like the story! #
  • Standing by the Scottish Storytelling Centre. Too bad it is not open. #
  • Off to a tour of the underground city in #Edinburgh. What a fast day. #
  • Finished a self-guided tour of #Edinburgh Castle. Some very contemporary uses of audio and video while still maintaining history. Kudos. #
  • Slept late today, and now a bit caffeine deprived and light-headed. The staff at #Starbucks on the Royal Mile are perky and so welcoming. #
